Summer Camp in Burnsville
Our adult summer camp retreat kicks off with a classic field day, a playful way to break the ice and spark team bonding. Throughout the weekend, movement and adventure are woven into every day with yoga, pilates, hiking, and fun excursions, all balanced with cozy cabins, shared meals, and that easygoing camp energy. It’s a perfect mix of nostalgia, laughter, and self-care, giving you a chance to reconnect with yourself, make new friends, and create memories that last long after summer ends.
The Yoga Barn
Originally an 1880s tobacco barn, the Yoga Barn has been beautifully transformed into a warm and inviting movement and healing space. Rebuilt over five months using reclaimed lodgepole pine for the walls and ceilings and white oak flooring, the space blends rustic charm with intentional design. This is where we’ll gather for daily movement and meditation, with large windows framing the surrounding mountain views and creating a bright, grounding environment for practice and reflection.
Greenhouse Ginkgo
Ginkgo is a beautifully crafted greenhouse designed to extend the growing season year-round. Framed atop a subterranean stone wall to naturally regulate temperature, the space stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Set within the land’s lush, regenerative landscape, it reflects the retreat’s connection to nature, gardening, and sustainable living. This cozy, light-filled space will also host one of our true farm-to-table dinners during the retreat, creating a unique and memorable setting to gather, share, and connect.
Farm Friends
A few friendly faces around the property make the experience even more special. From sweet donkeys and goats to chickens and the resident dogs who may pop by to say hello, these farm friends add a light, playful energy to your time on the land. The quietness of the property also allows you to hear birdsong throughout the day, and you may even spot local wildlife along the way. Whether you’re out on a walk or simply pausing to take it all in, these small moments create a deeper sense of connection to the land.
60 Acres in Blue Ridge Mountains
Nestled on 60 peaceful acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Firecreek Retreat offers a serene setting designed for rest, connection, and renewal. The property features gathering spaces like the Yoga Barn for daily movement and meditation, a greenhouse and gardens that celebrate sustainable living, and the Baking Barrel sauna by the pond for deep relaxation. Open fields, forested paths, and friendly farm animals invite you to slow down and immerse yourself in mountain life, while nearby Burnsville adds small-town charm with its farmers market, scenic hikes, art galleries, and local glassblowing, giving you a taste of everyday life in the mountains.

About your Hosts:
Courtney and Marissa are local Miami yoga and pilates instructors who have been teaching for 10+ years. You can expect their classes to be creative, flowy and strong – each format intentionally curated to either energize you for your day or help you wind down in the evening. We will be working through a mix of meditation + vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga + sound healing as well as yogalates to provide a nice balance throughout the retreat.
Courtney
Courtney’s journey with fitness and movement started early. Growing up as an athlete, she was always involved in sports and developed a natural love for staying active. She spent plenty of time attending her mother’s group fitness classes, which ranged from aerobics and weightlifting to yoga, experiences that helped spark her passion for movement from a young age.
In 2014, shortly after moving to Miami from Orlando, Courtney traveled to Lima, Peru, her father’s hometown, to complete a month-long, 200-hour yoga teacher training. During that time she studied many styles of vinyasa, including flow, power, restorative, and prenatal yoga. Not long after, Courtney discovered Pilates and was immediately drawn to the challenge and precision it offered. In 2023 she became certified in reformer Pilates, followed by a classical mat Pilates certification in 2024.
Marissa
Marissa Lew is a vinyasa based 500hr Yoga teacher, yoga therapist and pilates instructor. She began teaching because of her love of movement and the way it directly correlates with mental health. Having a degree in psychology and specializing in yoga therapy, Marissa’s classes are designed to be safe spaces to move your body through poses that not only are a workout but also a work in. Marissa is also pilates certified and her pilates classes are a mix between classic and contemporary and each class is designed to leave you feeling lighter and stronger both physically and mentally.
