The Sacred Valley, Peru
January 11-17, 2026

The Sacred Valley

Nestled in Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas, Munay Sonqo – meaning Loving Heart in Quechua – is a sanctuary where the powerful energy of the Andes meets thoughtfully designed spaces for transformation, community and connection with nature. Surrounded by ancient history, rich culture, and breathtaking landscapes this serene space offers the perfect setting to slow down, indulge in mindful movement and experience the timeless beauty and magic of the valley.

The Temple

Beneath the floor of The Temple lies a grid of selenite crystals, arranged to promote clarity, peace, and well-being. This beautiful circular space is perfect for our yoga, meditation, and movement, with heated hardwood floors and stunning views of Apu Pitusiray and the surrounding Andes. Fully equipped with mats, straps and blocks, The Temple offers a welcoming and energizing space that nurtures balance, stillness, and a sense of ease.

Ollantaytambo Ruins

Ollantaytambo, often called the ‘Living Inca City,’ is one of the Sacred Valley’s most impressive archaeological sites. Built with extraordinary precision, its massive stone terraces rise up the mountainside, overlooking a village that has been continuously inhabited since Inca times. Wandering through its temples, ceremonial fountains, and narrow cobblestone streets offers a glimpse into the ingenuity and spirit of the Inca civilization. With its breathtaking views and powerful history, Ollantaytambo is both a cultural treasure and an inspiring place to connect with the ancient roots of the Andes.

Machu Picchu

No journey to the Sacred Valley is complete without experiencing the wonder of Machu Picchu, the legendary citadel of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After a scenic hike, we’ll join a two-hour guided tour through its breathtaking terraces, temples, and stone pathways, uncovering the mysteries of this ancient mountaintop sanctuary. Surrounded by cloud forests and dramatic peaks, Machu Picchu is not only a masterpiece of Inca engineering but also an awe-inspiring place that invites reflection, adventure, and a deep sense of connection to history.

Salt Mines of Maras

The Salt Mines of Maras are a striking patchwork of thousands of salt pools carved into the mountainside, fed by a natural spring that has been used since Inca times. The gleaming white terraces stretch across the valley, creating a breathtaking contrast against the surrounding Andes. Walking among the pools offers a glimpse into traditional salt-harvesting methods that are still practiced by local families today. Both visually stunning and culturally rich, the Maras salt mines are a unique stop that highlights the beauty and heritage of the Sacred Valley.

About your Hosts:

Courtney and Marissa are local Miami yoga and pilates instructors who have been teaching for 10+ years. You can expect their classes to be creative, flowy and strong – each format intentionally curated to either energize you for your day or help you wind down in the evening. We will be working through a mix of meditation + vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga + sound healing as well as yogalates to provide a nice balance throughout the retreat.

Courtney

Courtney’s fitness journey has been dynamic – beginning from her earliest days and continuing through her involvement in various sports. She grew up attending her mother’s classes, which ranged from aerobics and weightlifting to yoga.

In 2014, shortly after relocating to Miami from Orlando, Courtney traveled to Lima, Peru, her father’s hometown, to immerse herself in a month-long 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. This training encompassed all aspects of vinyasa, from flow and power to restorative and prenatal yoga. Soon after, she discovered Pilates, which introduced a new level of challenge. By 2023, Courtney became certified in reformer Pilates, and in 2024, she completed a classical mat Pilates training.

Marissa

Marissa Lew is a vinyasa based 500hr Yoga teacher, yoga therapist and pilates instructor. She began teaching because of her love of movement and the way it directly correlates with mental health. Having a degree in psychology and specializing in yoga therapy, Marissa’s classes are designed to be safe spaces to move your body through poses that not only are a workout but also a work in. Marissa is also pilates certified and her pilates classes are a mix between classic and contemporary and each class is designed to leave you feeling lighter and stronger both physically and mentally.
